GaryVee : Baby Ariel on Dominating Musical.ly & Parenting in the Age of Social Media | AskGaryVee 296

parenting products

  1. Great interview and parenting tips! Love when Gary snapped of on the social media deal some parents have… Facts parenting and the subconscious messages we sending to our children come out in different ways for the kids. Parents need to look in the mirror a lot more if they want to understand why their kids may be acting a certain way. I get it kids need discipline and can’t go crazy on social but to demonize it is a little much. Thanks team Gary and Baby Ariel!

  2. What an epiphany for me to see that teens are still doing the same stuff. Human behavior hasn't changed just the platform in which they're doing it has. Yet, it's still the same thing. We can't blame the technology, we have to take ownership as parents.

  3. Thanks for that conversation with Michelle, I needed to hear that as a parent. You are so right about the way we use to act as kids. I always try to remember what I was doing at my kids age. I teach my kids to respect themselves and respect others, including the opposite sex who they may be interested in!

  4. I’ve never disagreed with anything Gary has said until now. I’m 29 years old and all I did as a kid was play outside with my friends. Sports, man hunt, getting into trouble, fishing, skateboarding… @garyvee why are you in denial about the effects of social media on the way kids (or everybody) interacts and spends their time?

  5. Gary I know number not important but how am I going to actually show the small business owners to believe that I can provide them good service with my social media my IG @wearealfas ( I do videos for parties and musicians and have podcast soon …..) ? ?

  6. Very interesting topic, especially about 35:00 convo. Girls body image has been a topic of discussion for decades and most parents don't take responsibility and want to point the finger at surroundings, other kids and social media. I call B.S. It is up to the PARENT to properly raise their kids and show them right from wrong. Kids will use social media for entertainment and of course influence is and always will be present online and offline, but good parents have equipped their kids with the right tools to make ethical and responsible choices. Period.

  7. I was rank that doesn't compare to the VIP in all the bars in my town Regina by 13 by the time I was16 had it in Calgary all kinds of wild things with that too. Parents don't get to choose whatkidsdo just have to hope and speak positively and supportively for their kids

  8. It's not really bad because it's good they disappear no one will dwell on it the school shouldn't have had any ability to suspend the kid because social media is none of the business of the schools I was suspended it was not that bad. I got pants by dykes in jail not because I was bullied everyday I was not I was popular even in jail but seriously pantsing sucks in jail you don't want to wear underwear because other people wear them too lol

  9. This is true and on internet is better than TV because the gross things associated with being famous in the TV industry like the upper room and the Jesuits involvement with the Stars individually which is so unrealistic send satanic is completely unnecessary no more gravy train so much more money train without the weird parts of music and TV industry within the Hollywood's secrets etc.

  10. You areoneofmy favourite people because of the harshness of the way you think I personally think that your right on spot and I am very outspoken and seriously down to earth as well I am interested in the fact that you are very involved with so many different avenues of popularity in the world of business and social media and I think that you are outstanding even saying that "fact that it fundamentally changed the course of your life" to this baby Ariel and I am very interested in learning from the skill set you posses in achievement of business and I extremely respect the drive you have for being successful in business and the passion intention achievements and amount in general that you thrive in life. I find that you are very more than motivational, more so directional and have a very unique style of leadership style and this is promoting to living a wealthy prosperous and abundant in success kind of lifestyle. I too love phsychology and enjoy learning from this girl who to never is very mature for her age and has overcome great challenges and obstacles and is thriving at an outstanding level for her she seemingly so pure for a girl her age as I was not as pure I guess is the proper word to say when I was her age I will be 31 next month. Thanks #GaryVee#KrystalMarieNymann

  11. 51:02 It seems tone deaf to me that while Gary makes the point that social is the current version of "Seventeen and Vogue", and rails on those who demonize current platforms for their increased danger , he then, in somewhat tone deaf fashion, warns Dad about kid paying too much attention to likes/comments; that doing so will induce showing more skin, etc. In my mind, using Gary's own argument about social being the current version of old mags, paying too much attention to the opinion of others is as old as the hills, as are the associated, potential reactions that he lists. So, he minimizes the possible increased dangers of social, but then gives stern warning about the perils of follows and likes. Clouds and dirt? Solid spin for disconnected arguments.
